Our Gerber viewer zofzPCB is the most advanced application on the market:

  • It’s a 3D Gerber viewer already used by over 2.000 professional PCB designers.
  • The next version will include a PCB quoting engine, running locally on the designer’s computer. It will enable quoting by extracting parameters from Gerbers and stack-up.
  • Designers will be able to get quotes for components, PCB board fabrication and PCB assembly.
  • Prices will be displayed instantly, as the calculations are executed locally and in realtime.

The business opportunity: Over 2.000 PCB designers are using our Gerber viewer zofzPCB. Each has a annual budget of approx. $5.000 for prototyping. That means that every year, PCBs worth 10 million US$ go through our platform.

  • We will ramp up our marketing to professional designers starting in June 2025, growing our base to 5.000 users until the end of the year.
  • Our roadmap for H2/2025 focuses on features that provide value to HDI designers and professional design teams.

How Does the Quoting Engine Work?

The quoting engine is split into the zofzPCB app and the partner portal. It has four parts:

  1. Quoting parameters: Together with our partners we aligned a set of parameters necessary for quoting, both for PCB board production and PCB assembly
  2. Price lists: Partner enter the prices for all quoting parameters into the partner portal. The price list is encrypted and can only be accessed by the partner.
  3. Quoting algorithm: Our quoting engine takes quoting parameters and encrypted price lists as input and quotes the PCB design
  4. Marketplace view: The list of quotes is displayed inside zofzPCB, ready for the designer to choose.

What's the Experience for PCB Designers?

CheckPCB supports designers throughout the whole pre-production process: From importing PCB design files to selecting a PCB / PCBA manufacturing partner. It all happens inside our 3D Gerber viewer zofzPCB.

  1. Import Gerber, ODB++ or IPC-2581: We offer an import wizard that helps designers organize layers, drill file, net list and stackup.
  2. Design validation in 3D: 3D is a superior way to validate PCB designs. Look between layers, cut through the stackup in 3D, inspect multi-layer nets, check holes – everything is better in 3D.
  3. BOM autocomplete: Managing BOM lists can be painful. We connect to the Digikey API to provide components options, ensure availability, offer latest pricing and include MPNs.
  4. DFM check: We provide all data a designer need to check whether a PCB is manufacturable, e.g. true track/gap, anular ring etc.
  5. Marketplace: Instant quoting with realtime prices from renowned PCB partners in Europe and Asia, focussing on HDI / HF production.

Pricing for CheckPCB

  • PCB Designers use CheckPCB for free.
  • PCB Partners pay a small commission fee when an order was placed through CheckPCB. The same commission fee applies to both partner types. The larger the order, the lower the fee. No hidden costs. No membership fee.
